STOCKPORT: WEDNESDAY LEAGUE REVIEW

We're REALLY looking forward to the holiday season to end so everyone can just get back to playing football.........

Just one game in division 1, but it ended with what could be a significant result as FC Fodder closed to within three points of leaders Cherry Tree, with a couple of games in hand after beating them 10-6.

ABCDE FC stay top despite not having a league game last night, but are joined on 15 points by Not A Chance, who scraped a 10-9 win over Dynamo.  A bad night for Dynamo resulted in two defeats from two games as they also lost 8-3 to HM Finest, who also picked up an extra point from a 5-5 draw with Cheadle.

Outwood are now the outright leaders of division 3 after a comfortable 17-5 win over Car Loans 4 U. Bredbury, who were level on points at the top before start of play last night, slipped up losing 6-5 to Stinky Bridge, allowing Gamma Express to close the gap for the second promotion spot down to three points after a 12-9 win over a returning Silver Birch.

Doobie FC continue their steep upward rise as they made it 7 wins from 7 with a 10-3 win over Splinter Milan to remain three points clear of Ashton Athletic who were 8-4 winners over Team Reem. Belshams Not Athletic failed to show for their game with The Wasters.

Bare Arsealona picked up a forfeit win over Hollow End to stay top of division 5, ahead of Ping It on goal difference who were 13-5 winners over Turkeys. The Ringers handed Withington Wanderers a 15-4 defeat to stay in the promotion shake up.

Just a couple of top division spots for any new teams who fancy their chances. Give us a call to register or for more info on 01614429988 or email stockport@powerleague.co.uk.
