STOCKPORT: TUESDAY LEAGUE REVIEW

Still early doors in Tuesday division 1, but already it looks like everyone will have their work cut out to catch FC Athletico, who moved six points clear and maintained their perfect start to the season by beating second placed WHP 11-9. Sean Tobin picked up a first win in the top flight with a 7-1 victory over fellow promoted Carnage Squad.

Likewise it is still the early stages in division 2, but Beans FC and Return Of Th'Lads look likely to be joining (or rejoining) the top flight, with both sitting level at the top with a five point gap to third placed Deportivo Pongolle. Beans have the superior goal difference and were 5-1 winners over Deportivo, while Return Of Th'Lads beat Steau Need A Rest 8-1 to keep in touch at the top. Inter Y Net picked up a first win of the season with a 14-5 win over Betty Swallocks, who are still looking for a first point since joining.

Stocs FC picked up a forfeit win to stay top of 3 as Monday Night Raw withdrew from the league. This leaves them four points clear of Dry Lunch, who were 25-2 winners over new boys BK Moorfield Rovers, who will obviously take a bit of time to settle into the league.........! Milanchester beat FC Stockporto 8-2 to sit level on points with Dry Lunch at the top end of the table.

At the minute Ye Olde Cock in are top of division 4 after after a 4-2 win over Inter V, but that may change once we get the result in for the Craig David v FC Poor Toe game, which at the minute is listed at a quite unbelievable 0-0(?!). After draggin it out for the first three weeks of the season, Manchester Nazionale finally pulled out of the league, handing Ye Olde Cock a bonus 10-0 win.

After last nights withdrawals, we now have three spaces in the Tuesday league. Division 1 for those who fancy themselves, or divisions 3 and 4 for those with slightly more realistic ambitions. Give us a call on 01614429988 or email stockport@powerleague.co.uk for details.
