The Thursday division 1 championship is all but wrapped up for Bredbury FC. A 10-0 win for them means they now onle need a point to take the title in their first season. The race for second place is now between The Disciples and Portugal U21's as The Disciples suffered a surprising defeat to Cilla Blackburn, who seem to be having a change of form. The Loveable Geeks against Portugal U21's was postponed until next Thursday. If results go their way, the Geeks could still clinch second place.
CTL look to be heading straight back up to division 1. They won the top of the table clash with TDL 6-5 putting them 2 points clear at the top of the league. Nameless Wonders beat Bram Ale16-6 to stay third. That defeat from Bram Ale means they need to win next week to stay in division 2.
A night of mixed fortunes for The New Elite as they beat top of the table, Fickle Fans, 6-3 then went on to lose to The Poynton Fives 11-7. They're now third in the league, and more than likley going to be in division 2 next season. Return of Inter Goats picked up 3 points last night after beating The Finniganns 12-8. If results go their way next week they may survive to see next season in division 3.
It's all going down to the wire in division 4. Preditors beat Hospitals 8-4 and Brendan McUnited beat Stockport Deaf Club 10-4, meaning the title goes down to the last game of the season for Preditors and Brendan McUnited. The only other game played in division 4 last night saw Bayern Maiden lose 6-3 to Hospitals. Both teams sit in mid-table, safe from relegation.
Something Random won yet again, beating Gee Cross United 9-6. Team Rocket are comfortable second in the league after picking up another 3 points by beating Manchester Divided 5-3. Ajaz Trees Down beat Torpedo Grove 7-5 to jump into their third place pspot in the league, although neither team can win promotion for next season. Fat Kids Are Harder to Kinnap failed to turn up (and failed to let us know) meaning Triple R Manuva got a 10-0 win.
Division 6 is still up for grabs as the top three are still separated by 1 point. Norfolk Enchants, who are currently top, beat Roberts Jackson 15-3. They're closely followed by Inter Bread, who picked up a 9-3 win against Man Chest Hair, and finally Assou Army who had a 10-0. Assou Army and Norfolk Enchants play each other next week and Inter Bread face bottom of the league Roberts Jackson. Smoon requested their weekly mention as they won twice in a week, beating Man Chest Hair 12-4 followed by beating Tom Bostock 7-2, meaning the lads from Smoon look to be heading for a mid-table finish this season.
