Our mystical powers proved to be quite correct last week, as Navy Seals were only able to sit top of division 1 for one week as they were overtaken by Portugal U21's following a 6-4 defeat last night. FC Bram Side look likely to complete their first season in the top flight by finishing third after beating fourth placed Kersal Massive 7-6 in a cracking game. Don't Messi With Us ensured a mid table finish with a 6-3 win over Teds Tank Tops, who will be dropping into division 2 for next season. The Wolfpack took on the challenge of jumping from division 3 to division 1 for the last couple of games, and their decision was justified with a 16-9 victory over Woodhouse Park. Things will need to be juggled around if they are to stay in divison 1 next season though, as they will not be able to climb off the bottom of the table.
Having felt like they'd done the hard work last week, Rothwell And Thomas were held to a 6-6 draw by third placed Trafford to deny them claiming the title last night. They are now just a solitary point ahead of Manchester FC, who were 11-9 winners over Looks Good On Paper. Rothwell can claim the title when they play their game in hand later this week. JLC made it three wins out of three with a 17-2 thumping of FC Grovers, who will be looking forward to the end of their first season. Fakerbatche did their hopes of survival the world of good with an 11-8 victory over Phantom Brazilians, and move out of the drop zone.
Division 3 remains incredibly tight, with games in hand possibly still to become a factor. Share Bears stay top after a 16-8 win over Bayern Never Losing, but their lead over Dog Inn remains at just one point after they saw off Republic Of Mancunia 11-4. Dog Inn are one of the teams who still have to fit in an outstanding game. FC Donkey Punch were the team that slipped up last night, being held to a 12-12 draw by Matt Wood to fall three points away from the leaders, but they also have a game in hand. Ya Man retain a glimmer of hope of stealing the second promotion spot after seeing off Craig Malpas 17-6.
Not A Chance could yet nick the title in division 4 after they beat Kentucky 7-6. However, they are still not even secure in second though, as a 12-10 win for CG And Co means they stay 6 points off second with a game in hand. Real Murillos and Cereal Killers secured their places in this league for next season as they both picked up wins aagainst the bottom two that will send them both down. Real beat John Spinks Striker 11-3, while Cereal Killers beat Reddish Villa 12-7.
Sugar Coated Lemons picked up a forfeit win in the only game off of the night to maintain their 100% record. Untitled, after years in the bottom division are celebrating their first (?) promotion after a 13-13 draw with Marc Overmars Tribute Band. Stretford Enders will finish third after beating Athletico Porno 7-5, and Innspired Solutions are up to fourth after a hard fought 9-8 victory over Bredbury Gypos.
It's the last game of the (still full) Monday league next week, so if you want to register a team in the short term you will have to look somewhere else.
