7 or 5-a-side Football Leagues
Feeling competitive? We’re looking for new teams to join our 7 or 5-a-side leagues up and down the country. Show us what you’ve got by getting a team of friends or work colleagues together so you can showcase your talents on our state-of-the art football pitches. Decide which night at which of our centres suits you best and go for it. You could be champions-in-the-making.
Brush up on your 5-a-side football rules as all our football 5-a-side league games are supervised by an FA or SFA qualified ref - well, you must have fair play! Throw in all-weather floodlit pitches, modern, clean and safe changing facilities and a licensed bar (for in-depth, post-match analysis/ the beer you’ve earned) and you can see why more people play 5-a-side leagues with Powerleague than anyone else.

Student Leagues
If you need a break from your studies (ha-ha) or want to sweat some of last night’s booze out of your system, Powerleague's Student Leagues are for you brain-boxes fancying your chances in the penalty box.
Most of our league games last 45 minutes and they’re supervised by an FA or SFA qualified ref. Throw in all-weather floodlit pitches, modern, clean and safe changing facilities and a licensed bar (for in-depth, post-match analysis) and you can see why more people play 5-a-side with Powerleague than anyone else.

Under 16s Leagues
The future of football is youth. Fortunately, Powerleague runs 5-a-side leagues up and down the country for football-daft youngsters. We guarantee a safe environment and the supervision of experienced FA or SFA registered referees.
Our leagues provide the perfect platform for youngsters to hone their skills and keep fit in a competitive environment. Did you know that Manchester United star Wes Brown started out playing at Powerleague Manchester as a boy? There’s some encouragement for you.

The season is only 10 weeks long and length of a game varies depending on age.
Currently we run leagues for Under 8s, Under 10s, Under 12s and Under 16s.

1. SLIDE TACKLES Slide tackles are a no-no and a free-kick will always be given. It is up to the referee to decide if the culprit should be disciplined. |

2. PASS BACK These are not allowed and, in the event of a pass back, an indirect free-kick will be awarded to the rival team. |

3. BALL HEIGHT The ball is not permitted to rise above head height. For Powerleague purposes, head height is six feet. |

4. SIN BIN A player receiving a blue card (for unsporting behaviour, dissent, time-wasting etc) must leave the area of play for two minutes. |

5. DANGEROUS TACKLES It must be stressed that player safety is the primary concern. A dangerous tackle will be punished with either a blue or red card. |
